An annual forum on hereditary breast and ovarian cancer for cancer survivors, high-risk individuals, those with a BRCA mutation or family history of cancer, and health care providers who treat high-risk patients.

15th Annual Komen Puget Sound Race for the Cure, Qwest Field and Event Center, Seattle, WA. Sponsored by Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the 2008 race will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Komen Race for the Cure, the largest series of 5K runs/fitness walks in the world, with well over 1 million participants since 2005. The race raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease.

14th Annual Swedish SummeRun, Seattle, WA. Sponsored by the Marsha Rivkin Center for Ovarian Cancer Research. The mission of the Marsha Rivkin Center is to save lives and reduce suffering through improved treatment, early detection, and prevention of ovarian cancer. Funds raised through Swedish SummeRun will fund pilot studies, education efforts, and screen women as part of scientific research studies.
